The lines an invitation needs
Who is celebrating, what the event is, the date, the time, the place and how to answer. The RSVP line should give a name, a method and a date. “Please let Dana know by May 25” works better than “RSVP soon.”
Set the tone with the first line
“Request the pleasure of your company” says dinner and dress shoes. “Come eat tacos in our yard” says something different. Both are fine; just match the party.

Questions
What should a graduation invitation say?
The graduate’s name, the school or degree, the date, time and place, and an RSVP line.
How do I say no gifts?
A simple “Your presence is the only gift we need” style line works. The library has several versions.
Is this for the ceremony or the party?
Both. Choose the ceremony wording for a formal event and the open house wording for a party.
Is it free?
Yes. The builder, every message on the page and copying the text are free. The first printable insert in a session is free too, with a small "Made free at Card Messages" line. The Card Pack is $2.99 one-time.
