A wish is not a message

A card message tells someone what you saw in them. A wish just points the road ahead: may it be kind, may it be interesting. Wishes are easy to share because they ask nothing of the reader, which is why they work in group cards, yearbooks and social posts.

Using wishes in a toast

Pick one and say it with the glass up. Wait a beat before the last word. If you have a second line, make it a memory, then end on the wish again.

Questions

What is the difference between graduation wishes and messages?

Wishes are short and forward-looking. Messages are personal and look back at what the graduate did.

What is a good graduation caption?

Pick a one-liner in the sweet or funny tone, such as a quick “Hats off” style line, and add the school or year.

Can I use these in a group card?

Yes. Short wishes are ideal when many people sign one card, because they leave room for everyone.

Is it free?

Yes. The builder, every message on the page and copying the text are free. The first printable insert in a session is free too, with a small "Made free at Card Messages" line. The Card Pack is $2.99 one-time.
